As part of the National Book Day, Sabit Mukanov's book "A Meteor Flashed" was presented to college students. The book is an epic about the life and work of the remarkable Kazakh scientist, educator, traveler Chokan Valikhanov.
The audience was introduced to the history of the novel's creation. We learned that Sabit Mukanov himself repeated most of the Chokan ways, traveled through China. He entered the city through the same gates as the Kokpand caravaneers, wandered through the same bazaar, where a scientist and a scout studied the prices of silk. During the event, excerpts from the novel were read out, revealing the image of Chokan Valikhanov.
